Star Thermal IFF Beacon
Operational Capabilities:
- Positive ID of blue force assets from both ground and airborne thermal imaging systems
- 1 km visibility in LWIR - 10 km visibility in MWIR with common imagers
- Invisible to Gen III image intensifiers
- Neodium magnets and integral bracket for attachment
- Multiple beacons can be wirelessly synchronized to flash in union
Specifications:
- 18 high efficiency thermal emitters
- 4 Internal 123 batteries provides 6 hours of continuous run time
- Also runs on external power, 9 to 36 VDC
North Star Combat ID / IFF
Operational Capabilities:
- IFF & DZ/LZ - Covertly mark blue force personnel, vehicles, drop zones, landing zones, etc.
- ISR - Tag and track red force personnel, vehicles, etc. in rural and urban environments
- High optical output and synchronous flashing ensure excellent long range visibility, day & night
- Available in single and multiple wavelengths including 850, 1064, and 1550 nm.
- Miniature package with a spring clip, tie down tans, and super strong magnets.
- On-board microprocessor allows for programming of custom flash patterns and enables the transmission of optically encoded data such as ID and status cpdes & GPS coordinates.
- Invisible to GEN III VAS systems
